What is the Source of your Strength?

INTRODUCTION: The weapon of your opponent is his or her strength, and if you are familiar with combat through watching movies or really partaking in it, you will be able to see this more clearly. Deal with their weaponry first before concentrating on winning the battle.

According to a veterinarian, most wild animals are strongest in their teeth and claws; thus, if you can figure out a way to hook the mouth and the claws, you may keep them as pets. This sermon describes one of the strategies Satan employs to track down Christians. It is intended to serve as a reminder that Satan will constantly make an effort to attack the source of your power. Consequently, the source of your strength shouldn't come from the natural things but in the super-supernatural.

Judges 16:6 So Delilah said to Samson, "Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued."

Our text is part of the popular story of Samson the brave Judge who fell by the hands of a woman. Did you see how Delilah was sent by the elders of Philistine to discover the source of Samson's strength in order to bring him down? Of course you from the rest of the story what Samson was reduced to as soon as he exposed the source of his strength?

This is how Satan relentlessly pursues the source of our power day and night, and once he succeeds, he destroys us completely. (John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full).

WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR STRENGTH?

There are basically two sources of strength; they are the Natural and Supernatural sources.

Sure you know that Natural strength can be drawn from: eating, drinking, drugs, and other things we can put into our body. Unity is also strength as fashion, good-looking, education etc in their various dimensions.

It is certain that Satan operates with a negative supernatural strength so, if you think of every of this kind of natural strength mentioned above as your strength Satan will easily attack bring you down because they are not a match against him. (1 Sam 2:9 "It is not by strength that one prevails;)

God is the ultimate source of all strength. (Psalm 62:11 God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God).

Dear child of God, when you are confronted by Satan through any form of his tricks; you have to awake and put on strength (Isaiah 52:9). Make sure you proudly declare the Lord as your strength Psalm 27:1, declare His joy as your strength always instead of Satan’s sorrows (Nehemiah 8:10). Prove to Satan how you can’t afford to fall because of the source of your strength (2 Sam 22:33 It is God who arms me with strength)

Remember these always: if you fall in the time of adversity you have a little strength (Proverbs 24:10) therefore seek God if you have not; abide in Him as you have found him (John 15:6)
