Voice of the Trumpet

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 14:8

INTRODUCTION:  Everyone is familiar with Lies and truth; both are directly opposite to each other. But lies are the other versions of truth and can be fine-tuned to look like the truth in many ways this is the reasons why people find it difficult to stick to the truth.

The purpose of this sermon is to awaken brethren to the reality which we are called into as Christians. And to re-sound the aged truth which Satan has blind folded many from seeing. To achieve this, in this sermon you shall be shown certain truths regarding life as a Christian and the versions in which Satan has turned them into.

The use of trumpet seems to be biblically a symbol of a voice of reminder, truth, aloofness and command. It communicates whenever it is sounded. Our text stated that when the sound is not clear then it meaning may be confused from its intended message. 1 Corinthians 14:8 we are in a battle but not a physical battle (Ephesians 6:4-20, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

There are a lot of truths sounded to mankind through the bible but Christians do not get the meanings and so are consumed by Satan’s sword. Below are some of these truth as well as their other versions which are lies:

1. Satan is restless until he brings us down/ you have rest after you give your life to Christ. Satan has no power over a child of God (Matthew 12:43-45, John 10:10)
2. The physical life is a shadow of the spiritual/life and the physical is the main deal; life is but once, no life after now (Galatians 5:16-26, Ecclesiastes 1:2-3, Luke 12:13-21)
3. Spiritual battle is real/ spiritual battle is unreal, Satan has been defeated and is in hell (1 peter 5:8, Luke 12:13-21)
4. Eternity does not matter; hell is a threat to enjoyment/heaven is real hell is real Luke 12:13-21, Revelation 20:10-15)
5. Rapture is a story for brainwashing Christians/Jesus is coming very soon (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 24:40)
6. Giving is extortion by men of God/giving is a kingdom principle for prosperity (Luke 6:38)
7. Church is the problem of the world, church is in the heart/church is a center for perfecting the saints (1 John 1:7, Hebrew 13:13)
8. Prayer is a noise and waste of time, just live by principles/ Prayer works and is a necessity for we must communicate to our father through it. (Matthew 7:7, John 16:23)

CONCLUSION: when the trumpet is sounded clearly and you refuse to listen or respond accordingly, you will pay for it as much as when it is unclearly sounded and you didn’t get it meaning. So either way, you are going to be held accountable for why you didn’t respond to the trumpet sound. Ezekiel 33:7-8
